Gifts of the Holy Spirit
Gift of Wisdom (Utterance Of Wisdom)
Gift of Wisdom (Utterance Of Wisdom)
Have you ever been to a situation where all your plans has been failed? Were / Are you are in a junction that you don’t know where to turn? Take a deep breath. Read. You have come to the correct place. God has a gift for you.
We can simply specify the Wisdom it is special taste for God and the truth about God that we acquire by experience through the action of the Holy Spirit (St Thomas Aquinas) . Wisdom is not mealy the knowledge but knowledge and experience. It is different than being wise. A wise person (or educated person some might say) is committed for rational investigation for almost all things in his life. He wants facts and reasons. He judges life through causes. Wise person makes judgments with certainty in such a way that he sets all things in their proper order according to the dictates of this full and far-reaching perspective.
Wisdom is way different. The Holy Spirit’s Gift of Wisdom belongs to the graced person who knows the cause that is simply the highest (the ultimate) without qualification, namely God. These persons are called wise (By God since they use the Wisdom of God) without restriction. This gift let person see life from God's perspective. God may share his divine design and will (not all but small fraction of that) time to time to these people and it will come as “Word of Knowledge”.
Gift of Wisdom (may be called as word of wisdom) will include
Revealing of prophetic future
Sense of divine direction
The gift of wisdom is the wisdom of God. It is the supernatural importation of facts; it is not natural. You can't earn it.
The gift of the word of wisdom works interactively with the other two revelation gifts: knowledge and discernment.
Examples From Bible
Paul before the council (Acts 23:6)
Then Paul, knowing that some of them were Sadducees and the others Pharisees, called out in the Sanhedrin, “My brothers, I am a Pharisee, descended from Pharisees. I stand on trial because of the hope of the resurrection of the dead.”
Jesus' answer to the question regarding taxes (Matthew 22:15-22)
But Jesus, knowing their evil intent, said, “You hypocrites, why are you trying to trap me?
The temptation of Jesus (Luke 4:1-14)
