In today’s First Reading Prophet Ezekiel says the Lord is gathering all His people from the places they have scattered and bringing them into their own land under their own king, as one undivided nation. His people will give up all the idols they have made for themselves in place of God and the Lord will dwell among the people looking after them and provide for all their needs.
This is not a promise given by political leaders planning to come to power. This is not a budget proposal which the Lord is going to do if He receive the required funds. This is neither a manifesto from God. It is a done deal. God has fulfilled everything He mentioned through the prophet. This is only an invitation for us to come and live in His Kingdom. He is not calling us to come and fight for the land. He has not left anything for us to do. His Son has done everything for us. Jesus has died for all the people in order to win back the kingdom.
This is the grace period for us to enter the Kingdom. Today is the last day of the grace period. New garments are available for anyone who wishes to enter, at the confessionals of the churches all around the world. Let us not be delayed. Let us celebrate the Easter Lamb together in the new Kingdom.
